~Skim~
I must say I enjoyed reading this book, I especially enjoyed the images of this book, but there where a couple of things that had me confused. For instances, was skim having a sort of relationship with her teacher? Because if I am not mistaken one day while they were outside having there usual smoke and talk they kissed! But it seems like right after that the teacher just kinda up and leaves school. I was wondering why she did that, did someone find out? or was she just uncomfortable? I would have liked to know more about that situation. I also thought the issue of suicide that been brought up alot for it to have been a childrens book. I felt as if by the end of the book the friends sort of shifted. But I still enjoyed reading this book.

ReplyDeleteI think it gets put in the young adult section generally, but in the publishing world that still counts as childrens
ReplyDeleteI think the relationship with the teacher was a fling for the teacher but maybe an experiment for Skim. I don't know if she really is interested in women. It would have been nice if the story expanded on that subject. It seems important but gets brushed over but the end. It was weird to have even included it in the story.
